‘yo would you want to do a three way improv with drone? might be fun for a new release. like say we react after as our first listening to the material, without any previous idea of what it is. and we use only that first take for it…’
_serocell to mikrosopht:
‘or use the material itself? certainly I’d be up for collaboration, perhaps write over the material sent. so someone originates a very basic idea which is included and added to, to create a single track. with the result being a track with 3 layers each individually written and included in full so almost like a jazz jamming session?’
_mikrosopht to serocell:
‘exactly!
so we’re ready with our “instrument(s)” & are recording as soon as we play the given material for the first time. (jazz musicians say if you dont get it down in the first 2 takes, its not worth doing again.). we could each make two starts, and send one to each of the others. then they send it to the last/third person.’
_mikrosopht to drone and serocell:
‘i was talking to friend ben hz (serocell) about this, we would like to try a three part improvisation via the internets. and you are welcome to participate! it will begin simply: create two basic improv tracks. we each send them to one of the other musicians. then, when we *first* listen to whats sent to us, we are ready with our improvisation tools & record our additional material. this will go directly over the first musicians idea. afterward, we send it on to the last (who hasnt heard any of it yet) to finish off the track. this will give a total of 6 songs, perhaps fit for a new release on digitalbiotope.net :)’

‘we are talking about LIVE improvisation so when we press play we are also pressing record and when we finish hearing it for the first time we have finished recording our layer.’”
