Kahvi #184a-184f [thomas jerome newton - neglected transient quirks]
“A guest artists once again, with probably the longest name and strangest title we’ve seen as yet. Thomas Jerome Newton, hailing from the UK, has his roots in the early 90’s and all the tracks reflect that - they’re fun, amusing, interesting, quirky (hence the title) and generally something a little different to listen to. Enjoy the ‘granny samples’ of Ansatape to the more idm styled Friashift. Take a careful look at the track titles also and see if you can figure out what they mean! Welcome, Thomas.”

- ansatape “the infamous granny samples make an appearance - giving a character all of their own to this track from the very start! kind of semi-retro demo scene styling indeed.”
- warengine “in the good old classic orbital style, lots of beats with the classic off key semi leads that were popular in the early 90’s. a great tribute to that era.”
- 6equj5 “not entirely sure why Thomas would have chosen this exact sequence of letters and numbers. Slightly more mellow than the last, kind of a ‘cool rave’ track (?).”
- lemurs “nice flowing leads and fast beats feature heavily in this track. could be classed as a kind of ‘anthem style’”
- friashift “a perfect example of using tuning of certain sounds in real time and it certainly works well. interesting as for a technical point of view for some, and entertaining for the rest!”
- airyspheroid “perhaps my favorite track from the whole ep - you could of imagined that this would have been one of those ‘rave hall’ fillers in the old days, as soon as the flutes start, screams fill the room and people get on down… ;)”
