Top #12 [independent researchers society - summer time]
“Very beautiful, melodic, soft and high quality contemporary jazz. Summer Time album is the brightest example for our motto ‘let the music speak for itself’.
Independent Researchers Society is a project, started by famous Russian jazz pianist and composer Natalia Skvortsova. Together with all the best musicians on Moscow jazz scene they recorded their second studio album. It was an attempt to create music, inspired by very concrete images of rose, train, sleeping 10-years old son of Natalia, and some beautiful summer landscapes.
It’s difficult to talk much about this music. It’s jazz. It’s very beautiful. It’s very professional. It goes really well with the weather behind the window. Enjoy.”

thanks for the heads up about the broken archive link, yann. that’s why it worries me when people submit releases hosted on their own domains rather than archive.org or scene.org.
though, this one was my mistake. :) bleepwatch is a community effort, so i appreciate the help. thanks again.
cheers,
patrick

well, anyway i downloaded the release from top-40.org and i’m back with my impression (now playing it) one of the finest jazz releases i’ve downloaded or bought recently. it’s heavily sixties influenced (like a lot of contemporary jazz i guess), reminds of coltrane at times, wayne shorter and the like… the recording sound is good too. pretty good thing that they’re districuting it for free! go get it peeps :)
one of the few net releases i’m going to burn on cd.
oh, and keep up the good work :)
oh, and you’re welcome about the help, most of what this site lacks of is the users’ feedback, opinions on releases etc. which is why i post about that release i’m listening to :)

i completely agree! when bleepwatch first began, i encouraged people to post their opinions [as i try to be as unbias with releases as possible], but it just kept quiet for the most part.
i was tossing around the idea of combining bleepwatch with the forum, netlabel-board.org, a short while back. which would have been excellent, in my opinion. but, it just didn’t pan out.
anyhow, absolutely continue to leave feedback when ever you feel the urge. :D sorry, i’ve gone a bit off-topic, so i’ll end with this:
i wish there were more netlabel jazz releases! :)
