Vacation!

Saturday, March 31st, 2007

I just want to inform you all that I’m leaving for a trip tonight, and I won’t be around to moderate comments\spam or Bleepwatch submissions. I’ll be back in a week or two. You can still submit releases– I’ll just post all of them upon return!

Sergi may be around to make release posts, so keep an eye out under this post. I’m going to make this into a sticky so that everyone knows what’s going on. Bleep back soon.

Cheers,
Patrick

IO #017 [endorphin - reset]

Saturday, March 31st, 2007

“The first release of Russian duo electronica musicians. As they have characterized, ‘We have played electro-ethno drums, having diluted their electronic’. This release includes some heavy break-beat style ethnic drums that sound amazing and a down-tempo, lo-fi piano feeling at the same time. Unique in its own way.”

Sec #003 [ixtlan - galaxy overload in the circle of 8]

Saturday, March 31st, 2007

“And here they are! Bo Green and Kent Holm - the legendary Ixtlan! Giving you the sound of the street, the sound of the forest, the sound of space and time, the sound of confusion and the sound of illusion. From the midnight misery to the cold light of day. From the sewers to the skies. Who are these people? What do they want from us? Step into the blue ball and find out.”

SND #004 [old strikes new - arcade awake]

Thursday, March 29th, 2007

“Old Strikes New releases his Arcade Awake EP after a lengthy period making final production tweaks and the results are simply outstanding. The title track is a 9-minute centrepiece of hip-hop beats and free jazz noodlings that blends the experimental sounds of Tortoise and the Anticon label into a fluid audio collage. This is surrounded by six pieces of deep, moody electronica that combine lulling piano, pensive dialogue, jittery beats and an overall sense of stark, aesthetic beauty.”

SINE #018 [a_dontigny - sine fiction vol. xviii - lies, inc.]

Tuesday, March 27th, 2007

“For his third volume in the collection, A_dontigny presents a playful and quirky adaptation of Lies, Inc. written by Phillip K Dick in 1966. Here, the psychedelic adventures of Rachmael Ben Applebaum are transformed into an orgy of MC-303.”

CMR #021 [scrambled mache - music for people who don’t like music]

Tuesday, March 27th, 2007

“Scrambled Mache makes his debut on CMR with Music For People Who Don Like Music. Scrambleds unique style makes for a great addition to the Custom roster and catalog. His obscure electronic styling and jumbled beats supply an enjoyable listening experience.”
