AMR #025 [h. masteraz - makes noises with brains part 1]

Posted in Noise by bleepwatcher

“I’m a 15-year old Noise artist from North Dakota. My productions can range from bizarre soundscapes, to pure, brutal, wall noise, to simple minimalistic ambient, to concrete sound.

I use sounds from electronic synthesis, concrete and acoustic sounds, and just junk noise I make with Audacity by clicking generate > white noise then running that through a number of filters (usually up to 40 different filters). I also like to make ‘noise remixes,’ every once and a while.”

AMR #024 [cronus - intervals]

Posted in Drone, Experimental, Glitch, Soundscape by bleepwatcher

“This EP is a selection of ideas and techniques I’ve learned in the past year– its a beginning to a record of steady streams of visions, shapes and colors I see in my head interpreted into sound. It deals with experimental sounds and tones made from scratch, and vocal samples destroyed and arranged into organic textures. Drones, soundscapes, thoughtful melodies and glitchy rythyms are the flavor of choice. Each track on this EP was written with a non traditional arrangement in mind for the reason of letting the sounds play their full part for the people who enjoy sound in its full glory.”

ZYM #015 [V.A. - sky diary edits]

Posted in Acoustic, Compilation, Electronica by bleepwatcher

“Everything started when Sky Diaries, the original EP by young fellow Fred Baty a.k.a. Crepusculum, was released at 12rec. in December 2006. It was a five song EP comprised solely of incredible acoustic music, composed with a guitar and some decent electronic enhancements.

His music left me completely stunned and I immediately thought that the pureness of Freds guitar-play would be a fantastic inspiration in the hands of electronic musicians. Many artists took part in the project, adding their personal touch to every single Crepusculum track. These include Tupolev bassist and sound-artist Alexandr Vatagin, Darren McClure, Engine7, Emil Klotzsch & Raimund Sudermann, Bluermutt, Letna, Alexandre Navarro, Ibakusha, The Love Songs, Heezen, Koutaro Fukui, GoGooo and the Netaudio legend Marsen Jules who contributed different remixes for both the album and the EP.

MFM #005 [grounded circle - through a period of time and countless other things]

Posted in Uncategorized by bleepwatcher

“I first heard the songs of Elliot Little aka Grounded Circle in early 2006. Since then I have never stopped playing his music. He is the first artist I invited to join memoryformat and in fact one of the artists that inspired its creation. During this period of time, whenever I listened to a new tune from Elliot it felt like reading the latest chapter in a wonderfully strange story, then looking forward to the next one. This release is that story put together in the order that I received it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.” — sk

Escala #004 [angel galán - fun computer]

Posted in Abstract, Minimal by bleepwatcher

“Angel Galán signs the 5º delivery of this netlabel. This incipient figure of the electronics of Madrid presents us a new work that begins with a track called ‘funcomputer,’ a retro minimalist track that brings us smells of other epochs but with a sound of our days. Besides it comes accompanied by two other remixes of hotter cut, the first is focused on the dance floor and the second, ideal for moments of abstraction. This is one of those cases in which an apparent simplicity in the composition manages to create the results expected. Congratulations and spirit for following launches!”

WAW #003 [mithra - nightmare's death]

Posted in Breakcore, Drum & Bass, Experimental, IDM by bleepwatcher

“Mithra is our first accompanist on our journey to the top of the netaudio-universe ;) and it seems he knows what WaW is all about!

His record is like a nice troll, jumping around you, wanting to make you dance, and sometimes he tries to look evil, pushing you around a bit, until you lay on the floor and can’t help but laugh. Because you know, this troll is good-natured, just having fun with you, so you get up and follow him, leaving the hills of stubborn coolness behind.”
