“Free electronic music on the Internet has reached a peak point of abstraction and metaphor, presenting a remarkable range of open sound archives led by Artist-identities barely visible, gigabytes of fragmentary ideas and sketches, spliced, compiled and assembled into works of strange beauty. The territory of creative potential is nearly impossible to mark, neither to define and picture considering the number of artists and concepts. The first compilation by frozenelephantsmusic.com therefore aims to simply start an ongoing presentation of compositions from this wide field, presenting individual artist personalities and their work, considering the artistic process and its manifestation.
For ‘The Map is not the Territory’ F.E.M. gathered 11 pieces by artists from the UK, France, Sweden, Ireland, Germany, USA and Japan. The collection includes minimal, computer-based aesthetics, sensitive undulations of sound, natural reverberations, organic structures and fragile sonic architecture. To hear is not to listen.”

““Pure” is a compilation of strictly complicated experimental music from United States of America, provided by artists that are known as pure experimentalists without any admissions. Joe Colley base his sound on the studying of various randomized processes, static noise and urban objects. Jessica Rylan designs her own synthesizers and accomplishs audacious voice performances. Kevin Drumm is fond of playing guitar by everything he is able to get in his hands: from piece of glass to electromagnet.

The result can be listened as hard, but rather charm liveset, that took place in Moscow DOM club.”

“This week, I suggest, eat as follows:
- Monday: Eat powdered poached reconstituted potatos factory-packed in Europe.
- Tuesday: Eat poached biscuits that are not packaged in boxes.
- Wednesday: Eat blue fuzzy baked dumplings that are thrown away by others.
- Thursday: Get by on a little mustards that you bought at a discount.
- Friday: Eat a little poached blue noodle dishes that are imported from overseas.
- Saturday: Limit yourself to a little pickled freshly-killed vegetables that you find.
- Sunday: Eat sour Norwegian vegan foods that you bought at a discount.
Or so…
Anyway, one thing’s for sure: if you enjoy experimental/noise/ambient music, then download this release and give the cells in your body a good diet. 12 tracks created by talented musicians for you to enjoy! So enjoy the noise!”

“Thus, we finally have in hands the first hardcopy and tenth reference of the Modena labelďż˝
It is, we easily imagine, an important moment, because the first off-line excursion for a netlabel with a great recognized requirement.
Then now, is the question: welcome in the real world zymogenďż˝ The answer is making absolute no doubt. Between concept album or an obvious will of representation of the activities of the label, this release can easily make lie these points of view, so much it has a real coherence, Glasshouse #01 is of those rare compilations from which one refuses to distinguish such participant or such other - this unit is partly due to the excellent graphic work of sunisbetterthanmoney, to the beautiful and now usual images of Mario Aldovini, due to the suggestive immersion of the tracklist and well on, due with the high behaviour of the guest-list: Ibakusha, Dincise, Takeshi Nakamura, Lezrod.
Suggestive immersion? Yes, Filippo Aldovini has it seems, have privileged a progression tactic on, and that does not have been so easy, as so much these artists compete in the excellence and the multiplicity of their matter. Thus ibakusha surreptitiously takes us on board, in some soundscapes where sometimes we perceive an aural signal inviting us to the back return - too late!
D’incise offers to us ‘un bouquet de fleurs fanĂ©es c’est si joli’ďż˝ Et tellement vrai (and so true) Nakamura continues with a ’subtraction’ which in fact, hides an authentic and beautiful sub-abstraction.
Finally, Lezrod closes the door of the glasshouse in a flow and a backward flow of tearing sound layers of particles in search of skeletal and late harmony, this ‘xx’ isďż˝ XXL.
Off or On, zymogen is a very precious line to follow.”

“Jon Does SeeMeInLuv is driven by its deep kick and the side to side movement of hypnotic textures. Aggressively cracked percussion becomes more chaotic as the track progresses while dancing across a punchy bass line. Ernestos remix pushes the percussion even further and adds to it a spooky melody. Sensitive Emotion takes the intensity up a notch with its manic use of hi- hats and vocal stabs. High energy in both tempo and arrangement yet surprisingly melancholic in sound. Jon strips it down and reworks it for the dance floor opting for a slinky but solid feel.”
